Jerry Poland

Jerry Quinleon Poland, 75, passed away, Wednesday, May 22, 2024. He was born January 4, 1949 in Nash County to the late James “Elmer”. and Lessie Winstead Poland. Jerry served in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict. He retired from the City of Rocky Mount after over 30 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Robinson Poland; brothers, James, Eugene, Sylvester, Obria “Tom”, and Carlton “B.C.” Poland.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Andrea Brown, brother, Alvin Poland, sisters, Tempie Dillard (Hughes), and Dale Carpenter; fur- baby, Spikey; sister-in-law, Joyce Poland; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation with family and friends will be Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 6:30-8:30 pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Entombment will be Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 2:00 PM with Jason N. Poland officiating at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Mausoleum.
