Jean Kermon Woodcock

ean Kermon Woodcock, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2021. Born in Rocky Mount, NC on September 23, 1931, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy Woodcock; her parents, Tylon and Retha Kermon; her brother, Tim Kermon; and sister, Joyce Britt.
For almost 90 years, Jean enjoyed life every day. As a faithful member of Arlington Baptist Church, she planned many church outings and was involved in all aspects of the church community. After retiring from Centura Bank, Jean enjoyed basket making, traveling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Jean is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Bill Mallatratt; her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Julie Woodcock; her grandchildren, Christopher Mallatratt, Sarah Mallatratt, and Zachary Woodcock; her sister, Retha James and special nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Windsor Point Assisted Living in Fuquay Varina for their loving care for the past six years.
A Graveside service will be held at Rocky Mount Memorial Park on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11:30 am with Ricky Donaldson officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Jean Woodcock.
