James W. Phillips

James William Phillips, 70, retired employee of Planters Bank, died today.
Funeral Thursday 11 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home chapel, Rocky Mount, with Dr. John Cave officiating. Burial in Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
Survivors: wife, Mrs. Marie Marshburn Phillips; one daughter, Mrs. Kay Phillips Thompson of Chicago, Ill.; one brother, Jack E. Phillips of Raleigh; two grandsons.
Friends may call at 204 Forest Hill Avenue and at the funeral home from 7-9 Wednesday night.
