James Ray Temple

James Ray “J.T.” Temple, 57, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010. He was born July 27, 1952 in Edgecombe County. He was preceded in death by his father, William Clarence Temple.

J.T. was a maintenance supervisor at Cummins Diesel.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 30 years, Helen Massengale Temple; mother, Bessie Mae Baines of Nashville; three sons, James Jullian “J.J.” Temple and wife Dana of Nashville, Casey Alan Temple of Rocky Mount, and Travis Scott Temple and wife Stacey of Whitakers; and 5 loving grandchildren. J.T. is also survived by three sisters, Janice Radford of Nashville, Louise Little of Norfolk, VA. and Sue Pierce and husband Billy of Rocky Mount; and one brother, William Michael Temple of Nashville.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 7-8:30p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. A service to remember J.T. will be held at 2:00p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Steve Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
