James Earl Proctor, Sr.

James Earl Proctor, Sr., 80, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021. He was born March 10, 1941 in Edgecombe County to the late Sam and Lula Holder Proctor. He loved his family, his Lord, working with his tractor, and gardening. In addition his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Bobby Proctor.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 59 years Dettie Proctor; son Jamie Proctor Jr. (Mindy); Pam Bailey (Robert Lee) and Theresa Gosselin (David); brother Richard Proctor (Marie); sisters Patsy Hart, Lillian Enroughty (Rooster), and Dare Ford; grandchildren Blake Gosselin, Lindsay High, Lauren Williams, Dylan Proctor, Cloe Bailey, Skyler Proctor, and Riley Proctor; great-grandchildren Colton High and Ava Grace High; all the children that affectionately called him “Pa” though the years.

Visitation with family and friends will be Saturday, May 29, 2021 from 12:30-1:45PM with funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Pastor Daryl High and Pastor David Gosselin. Burial will be at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
