Hazel Parker Turner, 82, was called home by the Lord on March 11, 2014.
She was a devoted wife of her husband, Spencer Morris Turner for 60 years. She loved her family, her church and especially her Sunday school class. She was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church.
Hazel is survived by her husband, Spencer Morris Turner of the home, one son, Glenn Morris of Rocky Mount, one grandson, Jason Matthew Turner of Raleigh, one great granddaughter, Miranda Mae Turner of Raleigh, several nieces and nephews, three brothers, Floyd Parker, Leaston Parker, and Homer Parker of Nashville and two sisters, Mary Pridgen of Rocky Mount, and Anita Anderson of Goldsboro.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Frank and Elsie Parker and three brothers, Morris Parker, Herman Parker, David Parker and one sister, Jean Doris Wood.
A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, March 15 at 2:00 pm at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
Visitation is Friday, March 14 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Johnson Funerals and Cremations.
