H. Stephen Dean, age 81, passed away Thursday evening, February 22, 2023. He was born July 16,1942 in Rockville Centre, New York.

Steve is survived by his wife, Ellen Baier Dean of Rocky Mount; sons, Devin B. Dean (Cheryl) of Florida, Josh Dean (Theresa) of New York, Garrett Dean (Kim) of Maryland; grandchildren, Bryan and Jeremy Dean, Austin, Kaleigh, and Aidan, Dean, and Liam and Brady Dean; brother, George Dean (Barbara) of California and sister, Janice Anne Collins (Brad) of Washington.

A service to pay tribute to Steve’s life will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024, beginning at 2:00 PM, at the Wilson First Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 4430 Lake Wilson Road, Wilson, NC 27896. A committal service and burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park, 4454 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. The family will begin greeting and receiving friends at 1:00 PM.
