Gracie V. Powell

Gracie Vick Powell, 80, died May 25, 1997.
She was born in November 21, 1916, in Nash County, daughter of the late Ernest T. and Elizabeth Baker Vick. She was a retired employee of Abbott Laboratories.
Surviving: husband, Willie D. Powell; daughters, Inez Daniel of Rocky Mount and Judy Pyeact of Lancaster, Ohio; son, Daniel Powell of Rock Hill, S.C.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Ervin Vick of Rocky Mount and Bearl Vick of Greensboro; sisters, Ernestine Winstead and Nannie Lee Joyner of Florence, S.C. and Jean Brady of Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at North Rocky Mount Church of God, with the Rev. Vic Robertson and Rev. M. Dwain Pyeact officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
