Flora E Sharman

Flora Edge Sharman, 76, died on Jan. 3, 1998. She was born on Feb. 14, 1921, in Horry County, S.C., daughter of the late Isaac and D’Lillian Faulk Edge. She was a member of the Highland Baptist Church in Hope Mills and VFW Post 2057. She was preceded in death by brothers Randy Edge, W.J. Edge and sisters Alice Westbrook, Blanche Hall and Myrtle Edge.
Surviving: husband, William H. Sharman of the home; daughter, Georgetta Sharman of Sanford, Fla.; brother, Isaac L. Edge of Thomasville, N.C.; sister, Lee Mabe of Hope Mills, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. on Jan. 6 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Rev. Roger Hopper officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday at the Johnson Funeral Home, Sunset Avenue in Rocky Mount, and at other times at the residence, 1212 West Mount Drive.
