Faye S Pittman

Faye Stanley Pittman, 60, of Rocky Mount went to her heavenly home on February 18, 2014 surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Edgecombe County on March 18, 1953 to Genava Williamson Stanley and Ethel Suits Stanley. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James Elbert Pittman.
Faye was in the banking industry for over 40 years, having held a number of positions with such banks as United Federal, Triangle Bank, First South Bank, RBC Bank, and PNC Bank. She was a devoted Christian and loved her church, Ridgecrest Worship Center where she served in all aspects of it. Of the many enjoyments life has to offer, Faye especially loved retail therapy, movies and BLING. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Delight Strickland and husband Jason of Elm City; her sister, Carolyn Braxton and her husband Donald of Raleigh; her brother, G.W. Stanley and his wife Renay of Fuquay Varina; and her two nephews Donel Braxton his wife, Terrie and their family and Trey Stanley and his wife Michele.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Chesnutt, Dr. Martinez, Dr. Jacimore, Dr. Castillos, Nash Cancer Treatment Center, Nursing staff at Nash General Hospital, Nash Hospice, and Ann Whitley who coordinated transportation to radiation.
The family will receive friends, Friday, February 21, 2014 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at Ridgecrest Worship Center. Funeral service will be held at Ridgecrest Worship Center on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 12:00 pm with Rev. Tommy Harvey officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
