Fay B. Burroughs

ROCKY MOUNT – Faye Burnett Burroughs, age 66, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017. Born in Mecklenburg County, NC on January 20, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Clyde William Burnett and Edith Lundy Burnett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Polk Burroughs, Sr.

After an extended illness, Faye is finally at peace. She passed away at home with her daughter, son, and daughter-in-law at her side. Her journey was not an easy one and the family is grateful that her suffering is over.

Faye leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Leslie Polk Burroughs, Jr. and wife, Samantha Love Bissett and their children, Jordan, Kyla, and Myles; daughter, Joey Carol Wall and husband, Geoffrey Brandon Wall and their daughter, Marley; sister, Carolyn Burnett Crumpler and her children, Carmen Crumpler Hope and husband, Daniel Hope, and their children, Jasmine and William; and Joshua Alva Crumpler and wife, Allison Crumpler and their sons, Haynes and Charlie.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Richard Gurganus officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
