Ernest Mark Tanner

Ernest Mark “Tee” Tanner, 46, died early this morning, July 16, 2009. He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Gray Tanner.
Tee worked as a mechanic at Rocky Mount Radiator for 22 years. He enjoyed fished in his spare time. He loved hanging out with his friends and playing the guitar. Many of the neighborhood kids were taught by Tee how to play the guitar.
He leaves behind his mother, Alice Tanner of the home; one brother, Richard “Tump” Tanner and wife Michelle; one sister, Sandra “Jo” Martin and husband Keith; several nieces and nephews, Johnny, Matt, Jason, Eric, Mike, Brandy, Kelly, Lianne and special nephew Gray; great nieces and nephews, Allie, Ethan, Hunter, and Haley. Tee also leaves behind a special group of friends from his childhood that he cherished.
Visitation with the family will be 7-8:30pm Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. A service to celebrate his life will be 2:00pm Sunday, July 19, 2009 at the funeral home with Pastor William D. Harper officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
