Eric Christopher Mckenney

Eric Christopher McKenney, (known to his friends as “Elrod”),50, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012. He was born in Portsmouth, VA on May 31, 1962 to Hunter Ray and Hilary RossowMcKenney. Eric was preceded in death by his brother, Michael McKenney.
An outdoorsman, Chris loved hunting and fishing. His greatest love of all was his children and spending time with them.
Left to cherish his memory, his wife, Brenda Boswell McKenney; daughters, Brianne, Hilary, Jenna and Leah all of the home; parents, Hunter and Hilary McKenney of Red Oak; sisters, Stacey Cunningham and husband, Tommy of Hatteras, Erin Jefferson and husband, Roy of Red Oak; his niece and buddy Marleen Jefferson as well as several other nieces and nephews.
A service to remember Chris will be held at 11:00am Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the funeral home from 7:00-8:30pm.
