Mrs. E. Gertie Robbins, 87, died Friday, Sept. 20, 1996, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Johnson Funeral Home, Sunset Ave. Chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Ball officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
Mrs. Robbins, a homemaker, was born May 8, 1909, in Nash County, daughter of the late John Rufus Wells and Emma Blanche Winstead Wells.
Survivors include: sons, Dallas D. Robbins of Sharpsburg, Billy Ray Robbins of Washington, D.C.; sisters, Marie Vickers of Elm City, Ruby Cooley of Rocky Mount, Irene Hilton of Holden Beach; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home, Sunset Ave. other times at the home of Dallas Robbins, Sharpsburg.
