Elma Wass

Elma King Wass, 92, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018. She was born in Edgecombe County to the late Cooper and Lela Morris Abrams. Elma was a long time member of North Rocky Mount Church of God. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Wass, Sr.; brothers, Carl, Roy, Walter, George, David, William Abrams and Cooper Abrams, Jr.; sister, Mavoneen Owens.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Willard Wass Jr., and Craig Wass; one daughter, Sheryl W. Coley; two brothers, James Creekmore and Henry Abrams; three sisters, Hilda Carter, Thelma Garris, Elizabeth Cockrell and Hazel Worrell; nine grandchildren, Dana Snowden (Billy), Adam Coley (Melanie), Amber Wass, Chris Wass (Debra), Gretta Zammiello (Patrick), Stephanie Woolard (Mike), Heidi, Megan and Steven Wass and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation with family and friends will be Friday, March 30, 2018 from 11:00-12:00 PM with funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Snowden officiating. Burial will be at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
