ROCKY MOUNT – Ellen Lynch Robbins, age 89, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026. Born in Nash County, NC on March 19, 1937, she was the daughter of the late William Lynch and Ruby White Lynch. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert Randolph Robbins; her son, David Randolph Robbins; and her brothers, Bill Lynch, Johnny Lynch, Lee Lynch, Mitchell Lynch, and Marvin Lynch.
Ellen was a woman of simple faith and steadfast devotion whose life reflected her deep love for the Lord, her family, and her church. A longtime and faithful member of Gospel Missionary Baptist Church, she served the Lord with joy and humility in many capacities throughout the years. She lovingly taught both Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, faithfully served on the Bereavement Committee, participated in the Ladies Fellowship, and touched countless lives through her quiet acts of kindness and unwavering Christian testimony. Ellen cherished her family and embraced her role as a homemaker, creating a home marked by love, care, and Godly influence. She treasured the many friendships she shared with people, many of whom have gone on before her, and leaves behind a legacy of faithfulness, grace, and a life well lived for the glory of God.
Ellen is survived by her daughters, Donna Evans (Donnie) of Pinetops and Lori Stanovich (Jeff) of Pinehurst; her grandchildren, Jake Stanovich of Raleigh and Claire Stanovich of Greenville, SC; her sister-in-law, Shelby Lynch of Goldsboro; and many nieces and nephews.
