Obituary for Dorothy Barnes Haskins
Dorothy Mae Barnes Haskins, 86, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2016. She was born July 2, 1930 in Nash County to the late Kelly and Nannie Smith Barnes. Dorothy loved her family, Elvis and all kinds of dancing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Haskins; three sisters, Mildred Langley, Pattie D. Ayers and Ruby Coleman; one brother, R.B. Barnes.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Paul Kelly Haskins and wife Dixie; long time friend and companion, Leon Shearin; one sister, Geraldine Denton; grandchildren, Paul Kelly and Justin Haskins; three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 11:00-12:00 AM at St. Paul United Methodist Church with funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM with Rev. Jerry Jackson officiating. Burial will be at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
