Doris S. Butler

Doris S. Butler, age 78, departed this earthly life on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Duke Raleigh Hospital. She was born on November 11, 1941 in Halifax County to the late Silveor Smith and Flossie Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter; Leonetta C. Butler of Fountain Inn, SC, three brothers; Cephus Smith of Battleboro, NC, Thomas Smith of Scotland Neck, NC, Sylvester Smith of Rahway, NJ, three grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Word of Tabernacle, Rocky Mount, NC with Pastor James Gilliard, officiating. Burial will follow in the Rocky Mount Memorial Gardens.

A Viewing will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 10:00 am at the church.
