David Faulkner Griffith

David Faulkner Griffith, age 68, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020. Born in Victoria County, TX on June 23, 1951, he was the son of the late Norman Early Griffith, Jr. and Alice Elizabeth Faulkner.

David leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife of 45 years, Joyce Dowdy Griffith; daughter, Sarah Griffith Hawkins and husband J. Brian, of Boone; and sons, John David Griffith and wife, Teresa, of Red Oak, and Adam Faulkner Griffith of Nashville. He is also survived by grandchildren, Liam Cole Hawkins, Lauren Elizabeth Hawkins, Enoch Nathanael Griffith, Hannah Elizabeth Griffith, Caroline MacKenzie Griffith, and Callan Michael Griffith; brother, Robert Francis Griffith and wife, Nancy McClintock; nieces, Justine Elizabeth Thompson-Griffith and husband, Drew, and Rose Marian Griffith; and special family friend, Nkaze Chateh.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 331 Hammond Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 with Father Tim Meares officiating. Burial will follow the Mass at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
