Obituary for David Earl Leonard Jr.
ROCKY MOUNT – David Earl Leonard, Jr., age 65, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Born in Nash County, NC on June 20, 1951, he was the son of J. B. Medlin and the late Jean Denton Medlin. He was also preceded in death by his brother Mike Leonard.

David was a Regional Manager for Mid State Mortgage/Jim Walter Homes for 30 years. He was a loving husband and father and will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
David leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife, Fern Farrish Leonard; sons, David Everette Leonard (Aimee) and Haleigh of Hardy, VA; and Blake Marion Leonard of New Orleans, LA and step-son, William Radford. He is also survived by his father, J. B. Medlin; sisters, Mary Ann Leonard Moss (Tony) of Rocky Mount; and Vicki Leonard Daughtridge (Jay) of Rocky Mount; brother, Rev. Tim Medlin (Sherri) of Fayetteville; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private graveside service at a later date.
