Darlene Anne Goodman Gosch

Darlene Anne Goodman Gosch, 78, of Hendersonville, NC, passed peacefully into heaven on Friday, December 9, 2016 at The Bridge at Lake Pointe Landing Assisted Living. She was a daughter of the late Harold Blackwell and Donna Maxine Morseman Goodman. She was also the wife of 59 years of the late Harold Victor Gosch, Jr. Darlene was also preceded in death by her sister, Donna Trice, and brother, Gary Goodman.
Darlene was born and raised in Miami, Florida, where she met and married the love of her life, “Buddy” Gosch, on Valentine’s Day in 1957. She met the challenge of moving with her husband and young family to Rocky Mount, North Carolina in 1972, with strength and devotion, when Buddy took a new job working with Belk. Darlene cheerfully thrived in her role as homemaker in her new hometown and was the neighbor friends could always call on.
Darlene is survived by her children and grandchildren; two daughters, Cheryl Tillery and husband Horace, and Karen Jones and husband Wesley; a son, Harold Victor Gosch, III; granddaughters, Meredith Lombardo and her husband Anthony, and Sarah Jones and her fiancé Josh. She is also survived by her uncle, Jerry Morseman and his wife Beverly, along with many beloved cousins, sisters-in-love, brother-in-love, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, December 11, 2016 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Hendersonville, NC with Pastor Sam McLamb officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3pm in the chapel prior to the service. Burial will take place at Rocky Mount Memorial Park in Dortches, NC on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 12:30pm.
