Coy Bill Smith, 85, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018. He was born November 10, 1932 to the late Elijah Smith and Minnie Joyner Smith. He worked at Tharrington Industries for 34 years and Nashville Starter and Generator for 3 years. He could play any instrument he wanted to and loved to fish. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Boyd, Jack, Daniel, Ervin and Troy; his sister’s. Ora, Ruth, Katherine and Letha.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mae B. Smith of 48 years; three brothers, Floyd, Grady (Linda) and Shelton; sister-in-law, Jean Smith; two brother-in-laws, Sidney (Gloria) and Roger (Pam); many nieces and nephews.

Visitation with family and friends will be Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Mount Hermon Missionary Baptist Church at 5555 Bend of the River Road with funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Justin Nale officiating. Burial will be at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
