Clifton B Lewis

Clifton B. Lewis, 81, passed away Friday, June 4, 2010 at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville, NC. He was born November 6, 1928 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina.
Mr. Lewis was a member of Englewood United Methodist Church. He worked as an Industrial Supply salesman for forty years for Camasco and Eastern Tool Company.
Mr. Lewis is preceded in death by his mother, Annie Blanche Webb Mosley; his father, Ledger Lee Lewis; his stepfather, Norman “Budd” Mosley; his brother, Van Ervin Lewis; and his sister, Dorothy Clark Howell.
Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty Grace Tant Lewis of Rocky Mount; his daughter, Susan Lewis Hicks of Wake Forest; his son Norman Lee Lewis and his wife, Anne of Cary, NC. His five grandchildren also survive him: Morgan Leigh Hicks, William Travis Hicks, Katie Lewis, Kevin Lewis, and Kyle Lewis.
A memorial service will be held Monday, June 7, 2010 at 11 am in the Mausoleum Chapel at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with the Reverend David Benson officiating. The family will receive friends at the home on Sunday evening. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation in North Carolina at 5950 Fairview Road, Suite 550, Charlotte NC, 28210 or Englewood United Methodist Church, 300 South Circle Drive, Rocky Mount, NC, 27804.
