Clemon Haywood Pendleton

On September 25, 2021, Clemon Haywood Pendleton stepped into the portals of heaven to be with his heavenly father and his wife Dollie Mae Pendleton. Born in Franklin County, NC on May 21, 1926, he was the son of the late Robert Fletcher Pendleton and Mattie Lou Tant Pendleton. In addition to being preceded in death by his loving wife and parents, Clemon was also preceded in death by his siblings, Jack Pendleton, Elizabeth Pendleton, Jason Pendleton, and Lola Mizell.

Clemon was affectionally known by his family as “Dad”, “Pa”, “Pops” and “Great Pa”. A loving and caring father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend to many, he will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

Clemon is survived by his sons, Steve Pendleton (Wanda) of Rocky Mount and Ronnie Pendleton (Carolyn) of Wilmington; his daughter, Dianne Guy (Stephen) of Nashville; his six grandchildren, Marina Laxton (Ron), Timmy Brantley, Miranda Boone (Kirk), Stephanie Pendleton, Matthew Pendleton (Devon), Monica Lineberry (Keith); eight great-grandchildren, Tori and Mikayla Laxton, Sierra Pendleton, Kyla, Abby Mae and John Henry Boone, Cooper and Cole Lineberry; his brother Alton Pendleton; his sister-in-law Barbara Cooper; and many nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service to celebrate Clemon’s life will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with the Rev. Lutrell Spell officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service at the graveside.

The family would like to say a special thanks to his neighbors, Mr. James Warren and Mr. Johnnie Gray for their kindness to their Dad.
