Obituary for Charles Annual Pittman
Charles Annual Pittman went to his heavenly home on September 9, 2018. He was born February 2, 1940 in Rocky Mount, NC. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1962-1966. He was a retired employee of the City of Rocky Mount Water Department as a lab technician from 1966-2002.
He was predeceased by his parents Robert Lee and Frances Erline Pittman and brother Wayne Pittman.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Betty Inman Pittman and his fur baby Buffy Ann. He is also survived by his brother William Carson Pittman and his wife Barbara, sister Jeanette Allen and husband Richard, brother in law Albert Inman and sister in law Janet Jenkins and many dear nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He will be missed by close friends Allen and Janice Dickens, Tim and Wanda Parker, Ray and Vonnie Bowman, Dal and Jennette Coppedge and many others including his caregiver from Home Life Care Gloria Boykin who was loved like family.
Special thanks to nurses and staff of Hunter Hills Nursing home and UNC Nash Hospital and Hospice.
He was a faithful member of Fellowship of Praise Church of God since 1985 and was there every service until his health prevented him from attending. The church members were like family. He was loved by all who knew him and will be missed by all.
Visitation with family and friends will be Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 6:00-7:00 PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Dal Coppedge and Rev. Neil Penley officiating. Committal service will be Wednesday, September 12, 2018, 11:00 AM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Fellowship of Praise at 3201 Benvenue Rd., Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
