Wilson – Lillie Carolyn Johnson, age 78, 1/15/1940-4/22/2018, wife of Robert Johnson (predeceased), loving mother of Glenda Wagner (Russell) of Chatham, VA, Gina Jones (Edwin) of Rocky Mount, Tereasa Davis (Rock) of Bailey, Wanda Surles (Shorty) of Spring Hope, Robert Johnson Jr. (Pamela) of Middlesex, Mark Johnson (Debbie) of Rocky Mount and Brian Johnson (Vicki) of South Hill, VA. She is also survived by loving best friend, Harry Allen of Bailey, sister-in-law, Becky Bowden of Commerce, GA, 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren (3 on the way) 1 great-great-grandchild, 1 niece, many cousins, special friends Gail Allen, Bonnie Allen, Sheryl Ford, Queenie Quigley, Carol Johnson and many more.

Carolyn is predeceased by husband, Robert Johnson, brother, Jim Bowden, sister, Mary Ann Bowden, father, William C. Bowden, mother, Mary L. Dorsey, grandson, Jason Godwin, great-grandson, James Ford Jr. and son-in-law, Paul Godwin.

Mama will be loving remembered for cooking, especially 7-layer chocolate cake, Christmas candies and cornbread. She will also be missed for her gentle touch. She never met a stranger.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
