Brenda Whitley Pridgen

Brenda Whitley Pridgen, 52, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000, at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount. She was born Jan 21, 1948, in Nash County to the late Robert E. and Willie Lou Henry Whitley.
S he was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and sister, and a friend to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. Brenda was a member of Calvary Free Baptist Church in Enfield. She was a retired clerk with 27 years of service with Centura Bank.
She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Rodney V. Pridgen; a daughter, Crystal Lyn Pridgen, of the home; a sister, Jackie Whitley Taylor, of Nashville; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Bowling Funeral Home, and at other times at 1000 Nashville Road in Rocky Mount. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rocky Mount Memorial Park, with the Rev. Reuben Batchelor officiating.
