Billy Gray Pridgen
December 31, 1930 ~ May 7, 1987
Billy Gray Pridgen, 57, a mechanic for Ryder Truck Rental, died Thursday.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home chapel, Rocky Mount. Burial will follow in Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, and other times at the home in Red Oak.
Surviving: wife, Mrs. Mary Tant Pridgen; five sons, James Wiley Pridgen, Alton Ray Pridgen and Billy Gray Pridgen, Jr., all of Rocky Mount, Harvey Bunyan Pridgen and Scott Daniel Pridgen, both of the home; six daughters, Mrs. Sarah Frazier and Mrs. Linda Boone, both of Rocky Mount, Mrs. Wanda Rogers of Wilson, Miss Helen Faye Pridgen, Miss Katherine Pridgen and Miss Christie Pridgen, all of the home; three brothers, Ted Pridgen and Autrey Pridgen, both of Rocky Mount, and George Pridgen of Tarboro; five sisters, Mrs. Pattie Bone of Nashville, Mrs. Edith Carnley and Mrs. Nan Drake, both of Rocky Mount, Mrs. Kay Luper of Tarboro and Miss Jeanette Pridgen of Lucama; two stepbrothers, Joe Ezzell of Rocky Mount and Henry Ezzell of Nashville; one stepsister, Mrs. Nora Barwick of Seven Springs; stepmother, Mrs. Kate Pridgen of Seven Springs; 13 grandchildren.
