Barbara Davis Brown

Barbara was born on May 2nd,1939 and passed away on April 15, 2024. She was proceeded in death by her parents George Wimberly Davis and Mabel Brake Davis.
Barbara is survived by her husband, John F Brown III, whom she married on June 28th 1958. She is also survived by her two sons David Wimberly Brown, (Tammy), Durham NC and George Carlton Brown, (Elaine,) Rocky Mount NC; Grandson George Carlton Brown, Wilmington, N C; Sister Georgia Lippincott (Bill) of Del Mar, California. Susan Mitchell (Mick) of Napa CA and John Mears of La Costa Ca.

Barbara was a wonderful cook, whom John fondly called his “private chefet”.

Barbara enjoyed many years sailing on the Pamilco Sound and the Bahamas with her family and friends. Barbara served with pride on the Salvation Army Board for many years, as Christmas Chairman, distributing toys for the needy, this was a big part of her life. Barbara had a very good sense of humor and an engaging manner about her.

She will be missed by many.
