Alma Ruth Bulluck was born on June 20, 1937 in Edgecombe County, NC. She was the daughter of the late Herman Williams, Mary Pinnia Lindsey, and step father Henry Lindsey. She was preceded in death by husband Luther L. Bulluck; son, Gregory C. Battle (Wanda); brother, Haywood Lindsey; and sister, Rosa Pettus . She was in the care of Cadia Healthcare Springbrooke

nursing home in Silver Spring, Maryland when she made her transition to be with the Lord on October 11, 2022.

Alma grew up in Whitaker, NC where she graduated from Swift High School and later traveled and lived in Washington, DC . In pursuit of a professional career, she went on to contribute to one of the the largest fortune 500 companies, International Business Machines (IBM) as an executive assistant. Alma was known to friends and family as Teeny, she loved to entertain family and friends with her cooking and never neglected to share her wit, while eating from your plate.

Alma enjoyed traveling to the most enjoyable time shares with her husband, Luther. This adorable couple enjoyed color coordinating, visiting the sick and shut-in, and spending time with family. Alma also enjoyed shopping and planning sister events. She was known to keep the vintage; not letting go of a single piece of fine clothes, crystals, and jewelry.

Alma leaves to cherish her memory: her children Doris S. Ramsey (Shanel) of Bethesda MD, Kevlin L. Battle (Sabrina) of Oxon Hill MD, Melissa L. Alston of Washington DC, Alicia L. Wesley (Robert) of Temple Hills, MD and James L. Alston of Oxon Hill MD; grandchildren, Felicia L.M. Hyatt, Chawdise D. Battle, Yolanda C. Andrada, Michael L. Craft, Russhida T. Preston, Tiara

M.L. Green, Roland S. Green IV, Jason L. Alston, Terry L. Alston, Ashanti L. Green; nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sisters, Maxine Cherry, Lula P. Simpson, Marian J. Harris, Margie R. McCrimmon, Margaret L. Miller, Dianne L. Bradley; the most loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and an abundant host of family and friends.

Graveside services will take place on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 in the Rocky Mount Memorial Park, 4454 Dortches Blvd. Rocky Mount, North Carolina beginning at 11:00 am.

These professional services have been entrusted to H.D. Pope Funeral Home, 325 Nash Street, Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
