Allison Hope Dickens

Le Mars, IA –

Allison Hope Dickens Brayton, age 42 and formerly of Rocky Mount, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017. Her life will be remembered and celebrated Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Dortches Baptist Church, 4776 Dortches Boulevard, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.  The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 pm in the Family Life Center, followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00 pm in the church sanctuary. 
She was predeceased by her stepfather, Jimmy Hooks Edwards; and grandfather, Carl Raymond Vick.
 
A lifetime of wonderful memories will be cherished by her mother, Carla Vick Glover, and stepfather, Dan Glover.  She also leaves a sister, Tracey Dickens Harper (David) of Spring Hope; nephew, Bradley Carl Dickens; niece, Elizabeth Nicole Harper; and maternal grandmother, Mary Ann Turner.
 
Allison will also be remembered by the students that she taught and mentored while serving as a substitute teacher in the Nash Rocky Mount School System.
 
A committal service will be announced at a later date.
