Allen Reynolds Petway

With heavy hearts and solemn emotions, the loved ones of Mr. Allen Reynolds Petway are preparing to say “So Long” to a special link to their family’s chain and are being assisted with this difficult task by S. Jones F. and C. Known as “Blazzae” to some and “Buddy” to many went from Labor to Reward on August 31, 2023 at the Nash UNC Medical Center.

A very successful business owner, he was the proud owner of Al’s Joint (first Hip Hop Clothing Store), Silk Screening and Heat Pressing, Blazzae’s (second Hip Hop Clothing Store) and Snap Back City Clothing which he and his devoted wife currently owned and operated together.

Services to reflect Mr. Petway life’s sketch from his time of birth until the moment he entered into everlasting rest are finalized by his cherished family. Mr. Petway will lie in state 5 pm – 7 pm, Friday, September 08, 2023, for friends and loved ones to come and pay their respects and reminisce on the fond memories with the family during the visitation that will be held in the sanctuary of the Ebenezer Baptist Church.

A Celebration of Life will be held 12 noon, Saturday, September 08, 2023 in the sanctuary of the Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Mr. Petway and his loving family will be escorted to the Rocky Mount Memorial Park for Committal Rites with Military Honors.

Among his survivors is his loving wife, Stephanie Whitehead Petway; father, Columbus Petway (Beatrice); bonus children, Destanie Whitehead and Anthony Lester; his siblings: Gretta Mason (Elbert), Linda Pitts (Larry), Harvey Petway, Eric Petway and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
