Mrs. Ada Belle Langley, 51 died this evening from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Rocky Mount. She was a native of Beaufort County but had resided in Rocky Mount for a number of years.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Gay-Yost Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Griffin, pastor of Penders Chapel Baptist Church near Tarboro. Burial will follow in Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
She is survived by two sons, Leon Shearin and Danny Guy Langley, both of the home, Spring Road Rocky Mount; five daughters, Miss Peggy Lee Langley and Miss Georgia Ann Shearin, both of the home, Mrs. Edward Cartee and Mrs. Charles Shearin, both of Rocky Mount, Mrs. Chester A. Boyce of Kittery, ME; her mother, Mrs. D. L. Brantley of Aurora; four brothers, George and Archie Brantley, both of Aurora, Harvey of Burlington and Robert of Charlotte; five sisters, Mrs. David Allen and Mrs. Wallace Edwards both of Aurora, Mrs. Ray Edwards of Washington, DC, Mrs. Walter Johnson of Raleigh, Mrs. Annie Edwards of Lake Charles, LA; and six grandchildren.
