Mrs. Peggy Watson Hendricks

Peggy Watson Hendricks, of Rocky Mount, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2026. She was the daughter of the late B.E. Watson and Ethel Bradley Watson.

Peggy had a love for flowers and gardening. She enjoyed cooking for those she loved and was known for her delicious cakes and pies ,baked with care, shared with joy. She loved family vacations and she looked forward to them with excitement and cherished every moment spent together.

Her faith was central to her life. Peggy was a dedicated member of Hickory Baptist Church, where she was involved in Women on Mission and volunteered faithfully at InJoy. Her service was heartfelt, her spirit generous, and her presence a blessing to her church family and community.

Peggy is survived by her two sons, Jimmy Hendricks (Linda) and Robin Hendricks (Beth); four grandchildren, Tyler (Allyson), Dustin (Megan), Grayson (Courtney), and Will; two great‑grandchildren, Carter and Jack; and one soon‑to‑arrive great‑grandchild, Sawyer.

Along with her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Willard Hendricks; and her three brothers, Ed “Monk” Watson, Kenneth Thomas Watson, and Gene Watson.

A funeral service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Cornerstone Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The family extends a heartfelt and special thank‑you to her sister‑in‑law, Sarah Watson, the staff of Spring Arbor and the staff of Autumn Care for all the love, care, and support.
