Mrs. Edith Rose Stanley Baker

Edith Rose Stanley Baker, 92, went home to meet her Lord on August 19, 2026. She was born May 2, 1934 to the late Lonnie and Millie Stanley. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Willard, Clarence, Roby, Tom, and Walter Stanley; sisters Doris Starling, Hazel Jones and Margaret Spencer.

Edith is survived by her husband of 73 years, Edward L. Baker Sr.; son Eddie L Baker Jr. (Teresa); daughters Hope Baker Johnson (Needham), Allison Rose Baker; grandchildren Brian and Brad Baker, Eric and Jeremy Johnson, Dominic and Matthew Albanese; ten great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special niece Debbie Gibbs; Special friends J. E. Hawkins and Randolph Edwards.

A visitation will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Sunset Avenue Baptist Church, Rocky Mount, NC in the Fellowship Hall. The service will follow at 11:30am in the sanctuary. The burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
