Mrs. Jane Harrison Brown

Jane Harrison Brown, age 79, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, June 27, 2026 at her home with her devoted husband by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.T. Harrison and Bonnie Strickland; sisters, Frances H. Tarleton and Cathy H. Savage; and grandson, Michael Fields.

She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Gerald L. “Jerry” Brown; sons, Gerald L. “Jerry” Brown, Jr., Thomas P. “Tom” Brown, all of Whitakers, and Philip “Phil” W. Brown (Chau) of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Hannah, Chris, Matt, Rebecca, and Joanna, and one great-grandson. She also leaves two step-siblings, Pamela Strickland Lowe of Tennessee and Richard E. Strickland (Pam) of Rocky Mount, along with several nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.

A service to celebrate and remember Jane’s life will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Davis-Little Funerals, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 am.
