NASHVILLE – Betsy Wadsworth Weaver, age 87, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Weaver; her son, Danny Weaver; her sisters, Shirley Wilkinson and Pat Smart; and her granddaughter, Angie Webb.
Above all else, Betsy loved the Lord with all her heart, and that love was reflected in the way she faithfully loved and served others throughout her life. Her church family held a special place in her heart, and she lived with a genuine kindness and warmth that made everyone feel welcome. Betsy never met a stranger; she had a remarkable gift for building meaningful relationships and making people feel valued from the very first conversation. Whether someone knew her for only a few moments or for many years, time spent with her always felt familiar, comforting, and sincere. She was intentional in the way she cared for others, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. In her quiet moments, she found great joy in sewing, tending to her garden, and spending time reading, simple pleasures that reflected her gentle spirit, creativity, and appreciation for life’s everyday blessings.
Betsy is survived by her daughters, Beth Weaver, Virginia Weaver LeQuire (Randy), Vicky Weaver Sykes (Ken) and Larue Weaver, her son David Weaver; her 13 grandchildren, her 24 great grandchildren and her 2 great-great grandchildren; her daughter in law, Freda Weaver and several nieces, nephews, adopted sons and daughters.
