Tammy Marie Edmondson, age 63, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday evening, March 30, 2026.

She was born in Nash County, NC on November 21, 1962, to William Rufus and Margaret B. Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Katie Ellis; brothers, Charles “Butch” Johnson and Tommy Johnson; and nephew, Clifton Ray Ellis.

Tammy was a woman of faith and she loved the Lord. She was a shy person but once she got to know you, you had a friend for life who would do anything she could to help others. She enjoyed different hobbies, especially working word search puzzles, collecting dolls, and treasure hunting at yard sales. She also worked at the Rocky Mount Cord Mill as a machine operator for several years.

She leaves a loving family that includes her son, Billy Edmondson; sister, Betty Pierce; brother, Terry Johnson, all of Battleboro; grandchildren, Dylan, Haley, Zoey, and Nathan Edmondson; sister-in-law, Becky Johnson of Nashville; along with several nieces, nephews, special friends and other extended relatives.

Tammy was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend to many. She will be missed but never forgotten.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00pm, Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Davis-Little Funerals, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount. Graveside service will follow at 11:00 am, Thursday at Rocky Mount Memorial Park, 4454 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
