Hilda Ange Wright

Hilda Ange Wright, 93, died Thursday, March 19, 2009. She was born September 24, 1915 in Beaufort County, daughter of the late Walter and Laura Wallace Ange. She was the widow of the late Bennie L. Wright. Hilda was also preceded in death by a sister, Clara Ange Proctor and her nephew, Fred Proctor.
Hilda was a member of the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 56 years. She worked at Parkview Hospital as a nurse’s aide for approximately 20 years and as a private duty nurse for almost 15 years before retiring.
Hilda is survived by one sister, Stella Merrill of Bronson, Texas; her two sons, William L. Wright and wife Peggy of Durham, Donald Eugene Wright and wife Dorothy of Roanoke Rapids; three daughters, Hilda Grey Hamilton of Rocky Mount, Rebecca W. Long and husband Danny of Nashville, Brenda W. Grant Flagg of Garysburg; thirteen grandchildren, William, David, Kenneth and Debbie Wright, Don, Greg and Kevin Wright, Tommy and Terry Wells, Jennifer L. Watson and Daniel Long, Belinda and Roger Grant. She had 23 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1830 Old Mill Road, Rocky Mount on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
