Ida V. Wood

Ida Valentine Wood, 74, died Monday, June 14, 2004. Funeral services were held Thursday, June 17 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Robertson and the Rev. Jim Smyrl officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
She was born July 2, 1929 in Franklin County and was the daughter of the late William “Willie” H. Valentine and Mable Rowe Valentine. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Weldon Spencer Wood.
Survivors include her sons, Mike Wood and wife Marguerite f Wake Forest, William Wood and wife Deborah of Rocky Mount, and Scott Wood and wife Pam of Red Oak; daughter, Joy Walton and husband George of Raleigh; and three grandchildren.
