Joseph Warren Williams

ROCKY MOUNT – Joseph Warren Williams, age 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at home. Born on July 17, 1943, he was the son of the late Warren G. Williams and Ernestine F. Williams.

Joseph worked many years at Guardian Care. He also loved cutting yards to make extra money. He was a hard worker. Above all, his most cherished memories will be those spent with his family. He was a loving husband, son, brother, and uncle and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Joseph is survived by his one and only loving wife of eleven months, Lois Williams; his two sisters, Patricia Viverette, of Hendersonville and Vivian Riley and husband, Rufus, of Rocky Mount; and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Selena and Pastor Wood officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Johnson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joseph’s memory to Harvest Baptist Church, 2325 Old Mill Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.

I will love you through the years. In the start of our marriage, I celebrate you as the daughter of the king. I love you for his sake. I should be especially good to you knowing not only what you are, but whose you are. You are spiritual Royalty. Princess of his loving heart. I will love you as long as I live.
