Janet Eloise Turner

ROCKY MOUNT – Janet Eloise Creekmore Turner, age 83, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017. Born in Franklin County, NC on February 7, 1934, she was the daughter of the late James Ervin Creekmore and Lettie Jones Creekmore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Richard Turner.

Janet and her husband were owners and operators of Walker Saw & Mower, Inc. for over 30 years. She was a member of Old Carriage Road Baptist Church. Janet was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Janet leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Julius Turner of Nashville; and daughter, Janet Turner Arnold and husband, Michael, of Rocky Mount. She is also survived by granddaughters, Kimberly Haggerty and husband, Shepard; Emalie Turner; grandson, Billy Richard Turner, II; and sister, Jean Ayscue.

A Memorial Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Pastor William Harper officiating. A visitation with the family will follow the service.
