James Christoval Shattuck

James Christoval Shattuck, 85, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital. James was born on July 24, 1936, to the late Paul Lamar Shattuck and the late Novella Jones in Pitt County, NC. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sudie Pfeifer of Sumter, SC and his brother Paul Shattuck of Hampton, VA. He is survived by two sisters, Alice Shattuck White of Hertford NC and Barbara Shattuck Hobbs (Bill) of Pinetops, NC. He has 19 nieces and nephews. James is a Veteran of the US Navy. He was residing in Marion NC at the Lake James Lodge rest home. His surviving sisters wish to leave a verse in the memory of their loved one. John 3:16 reads “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” In keeping with his family wishes, no services are planned at this time.
