Robert Lee Saunders

Robert Lee Saunders, 70, died this morning at his home. He was a native of Portsmouth, Va., and resided in this area for four years. He was a member of the Rocky Mount Elk’s Lodge and the Marvin Methodist Church.
He is survived only by his wife, Mrs. Jessie Fulmore Saunders.
A funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Marshall Stewart and the Rev. George Speake in charge. Burial will be in Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
