Edith May Saleesby

Edith Mellor Saleeby, 69, died Monday, May 4, 1998.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Mrs. Saleeby was born May 4, 1929, in Nash County, daughter of the late Arthur B. and Bertie Bass Mellor. She was a retired switchboard operator for the Virginia Pilot Newspaper. Survivors include her husband, Mitchell Saleeby; a brother, Larry Mellor of Virginia Beach, Va.; sisters and brother-in-law, Patsy and Boice Brown of Rocky Mount and Janet and Richard Bolender of Tavernier, Fla.; nieces, Terri Denton of Rocky Mount, Lisa Cook of Raleigh and Jann Sanchez of Miami, Fla.; nephews, Brad Brown of Nashville, Robert Bolender of Marietta, Ga., Eric Mellor of Virginia Beach, Va. and Gary Mellor of Corpus Christi, Texas.
