Ruby V Ricks

Mrs. Ruby V. Ricks, 72, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 1990, at Community Hospital.
She was born in Nash County, Sept. 25, 1917, daughter of the late George and Mahalia Lamb Vick.
Surviving: husband, Elbert H. Ricks; daughter, Mrs. Melton R. “Geraldine” Boone of Miami, Fla.; son, Elbert Lee Ricks of Chesapeake, Va.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Scott Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, other times at the home in the Hickory Community.
