Harriett O Ricks

Harriett Overton Ricks, 93, died Sunday, Dec. 18, 1994.
She was born Sept. 6, 1901, in Hertford County. She was widow of the late George H. Ricks and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving: daughters, Mary E. Jolly of Morehead City, Marian Mead of Topeka, Kan., Gladys Wheeler of Maryville, Tenn.; son, Edward Coleson of Patlaka, Fla.; sisters, Amanda Franks of Thomasville, Icie Hilderbrand of Arizona; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vivian Morris.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home, Fairview Road Chapel. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, other times at the home of Donna Ingram, Lot 63 Langwood Trailer Park.
