Richard Clay Price, age 88, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 12th, 2024. He was born to Henry Clay Price and Jewel Best Price on March 15, 1936. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Price Wells and brother in-law Robert L. Wells

He is survived by his wife, Jean Killebrew Price; nephews: Wayne Wells (Phyllis); Donald Wells (Cathy); great niece: Melissa Phillips (Bill); Jean’s children: Ronald Killebrew of Rocky Mount, NC; Ray Killebrew (Melissa) of Midway, GA; Dorothy Killebrew (Karen Tripp) of Princeton, NC; grandchildren: Shannon Price, Ronald Killebrew II, Shane Killebrew, Lauren Loveless, Aubrey Pipping.

Earlier in life Richard worked at Watson tobacco company and later at Jean’s florist with his lovely wife. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and playing a friendly game of poker with his buddies.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, April 16th, 2:00 pm at Oakdale Baptist Church, 13037 US 64 Alt, Rocky Mount, NC 27801

The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 pm.

Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be made to Oakdale Baptist Church.
