Hallie Pope

Hallie Pope, 93, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005, at Guardian Care of Rocky Mount. He was born Nov. 1, 2011, in Magnolia, son of the late Edward and Bertha Bradshaw Pope. He was a member of New Vision Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for many years. Hallie worked in the textile industry all of his life and many years for Rocky Mount Mills.
He leaves to cherish his memory, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Davis Pope; one infant Bobby Pope; three sisters, Sallie Pop Ezzell, Lida Pope Davis and Allie Pope Boswell; and two brothers, Paul and Arthur Pope.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005, at Bowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowling Funeral Home following visitation, with the Pastor Howard Harrell officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
