Maerean B. Poland

Maerean B. Poland, 81, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016. She was born September 25, 1934 to the late Thomas and Ruby Mooney Bledsoe. She was a fun loving mother, loved to dance, a fabulous cook and loved the simple things in life. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George Thomas Poland and grandson, Michael Wayne Boone.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Ann Mangis (Dave), Georgia Wilson (Charles) and Donna Wilson (Joe); one brother, Tony Bledsoe (Julie); one sister, Evangeline Rackley; grandchildren, Alyson Girouard, Kimberly Lloyd and Andrew Mangis; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 1:30-2:30 pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park at 3:00 pm with Rev. Steve Roberson officiating.
